One of the primary reasons
our owners and guest choose the Coosawattee River
Resort is because of our wonderful and varied amenities.
Throughout the property you will find different amenities
easily accessible from wherever you start. Our amenities
range from indoor and outdoor swimming pools, camp
sites, river parks, tubing (during the summer season),
weight room, game rooms, miniature golf, horse shoe
pits, tennis courts and basketball courts. We also
offer Bingo nights at the Rec Center every week in
the Spring, Fall and Winter. No Bingo during the summer
months. There is also a covered pavilion at the Rec
Center play area which can be reserved for birthday
parties.
During the year, the Amenities
Department is also responsible for several
community wide activities, such as the July 4th cookout,
the Fall Festival / Halloween Party and the Christmas
Open House.
The resort also is home to the Water
Tower Conference Center. This facility, located
on one of the highest peaks inside the property has
some of the most breath-taking views available in
the community. The Water Tower is used for a variety
of functions and events, ranging from weddings, receptions,
parties, showers, seminars as well as used for club
and board meetings.
Camping
& Parks
East Park
East Park, located in Beaver Forest,
is a peaceful camping and picnic area that boasts
30 tent sites. Most of the sites are along the beautiful
Coosawattee River. Each tent site has a picnic table
and a fire ring. There is play- ground equipment,
you can play horse shoes. East Park also has a pavilion
large enough for all your family reunions.
The bathhouse, which is available for use by all campers,
is open from Easter weekend through Oct 30.
North Park
North Park, while our smallest park
is also a place of quiet solitude for camping, fishing
and just enjoying nature at its finest. There are
seven tent sites; each has a picnic table and fire
ring. There is a small pavilion at the bathhouse.
Canoe Park
Canoe Park is located in Eagle Mountain
directly on the river front and surrounded by private
residences. There are no camping sites here, but is
a favorite drop off and pick up site for canoeing
and kayaking. There are picnic tables and a beautiful
view of the river with a quiet place to come and sit
and read a book, write a poem, or to just look around
and feel the beauty that surrounds you. The CRRA has
formed a business partnership with the General Store
at Eagle’s Mountain who will be handling all
of the tubing activities. You will find more information
at http://www.coosawatteerivertubingco.com.
Indian Fish Trap Park

Indian Fish Trap Park is so named because
of the large V design made into the river by Native
Americans for trapping fish - has a swinging suspension
bridge that connects the camping area to the Teen
Center (hyper-link Teen Center). There are twenty-six
tent sites and six RV sites, each with water and electric
hookups. There is a dump station for RVs and trailers
at the exit of the park. There are also two Pop Up
camper sites. Fish Trap Park, our largest camping
and day use area features a large play area that has
volley ball, play areas, swings and also features
a large pavilion for all family reunions, birthdays,
weddings, etc.
River Park
River Park is located in Beaver Lake
and is the starting point for our tubing runs. The
CRRA has formed a business partnership with the General
Store at Eagle’s Mountain who will be handling
all of the tubing activities. You will find more information
at http://www.coosawatteerivertubingco.com.
Ogden Road RV Park
The Ogden Road RV Park is located in
Eagle Mountain and open all year for RVs, 5th wheels
and trailers. There are fifteen sites with water,
electric and sewer hook up. A bath house key is available
if needed, with a deposit.

Library
Our library grew so fast we had to move
to a larger room in the first month. Thank you to
everyone that donated books, videos and plants. Betty
Smith has taken on the responsibility of librarian
and has done a wonderful job. There are books for
everyone, as well as some videos and cassette tapes.
We have a children’s section also. The library
operates on the honor system and is open whenever
the POA office is. Stop by and take a break from your
day pick out a book have a seat and read in the library
or, take it with you for a few days and return it
for the next person.

Pool
II

Pool II is the smallest of the pools.
It is also usually the calmest and most settled. While
small, the deep end is still ten feet deep, plenty
deep enough for “hunting” things on the
bottom for the budding Jacque Cousteau’s out
there. Pool II also has a picnic area and a pavilion
as well as a changing area and restroom. It is quiet
and peaceful place to come and relax.

Rec
Center
The Rec Center is the jewel of the Coosawattee
River Resort’s Amenities crown. We have just
recently completed an extensive renovation of the
pool area as well as several major improvements inside.
The pool itself is
40 X 75 ft. it is 8 feet at the deep end with a large
shallow end for the small ones. The pool is heated
and enclosed so you can swim comfortably year round.
Each and every Monday, Wednesday and Friday there
are water aerobics classes held in the morning. Since
installing a new state-of-the-art chlorination system,
the pool no longer has to have chlorine added. Because
of this, we have a pool that is much easier on your
eyes, your skin, your hair and your clothing while
still protecting against germs, bacteria and algae.
We also have a kiddy pool for the very little ones
where they can splash and play without having to go
into “the deep”.
The game room is a
coin operated arcade with games, pool tables, ping
pong table and an air hockey machine.
Our weight room is
complete with treadmills, a TV to watch your favorite
show while walking or, you can bring a video to exercise
to. There are weight machines, free weights, a rowing
machine and exercise bikes. Come and meet new friends
to work out with.
We also have a miniature 18-hole
golf course that is free.
The Rec Center also has other out door
attractions - a tennis, volleyball
and basketball court
where we supply the all of the equipment needed; just
ask the attendant at the Rec Center for assistance.
For those desiring a more sedate entertainment,
we also have a new wide-screen television for viewing
your favorite shows while the rest of the family is
swimming, playing in the game room or getting in some
exercise.
Feeling lucky? Thursday night at 6:00
p.m. is Bingo Night and, like most of our activities,
it’s free to play. Win prizes, bring the family
for a fun night out and meet other owners. How could
we make it any easier?

Teen
Center
The Teen Center is a beautiful outdoor
pool. The pool is three to five feet deep
throughout. While it carries the name of “Teen
Center”, don’t be fooled; it really is
more family oriented with kids from one to one hundred
enjoying the sun and fun. Small children can enjoy
the pool since it is only five feet deep, but everyone
can have a wonderful time. There is also a kiddy pool
for the toddlers and babies. There are also soda
and vending machines for a quick snack when
you are having too much fun to leave. The Teen Center
also has picnic tables and camping
at Indian Fish Trap Park is only a short walk across
the Coosawattee River over the swinging suspension
bridge.

The
Water Tower Conference Center
The Water Tower Conference Center was
originally designed as a fine dining restaurant. While
it is no longer a dining establishment, the Water
Tower is used for a variety of purposes. With a beautiful,
breath-taking view from its dining area, the Water
Tower is a favorite for weddings, receptions, showers,
parties, reunions and gatherings for ten to one hundred.
The Water Tower is available to rent, both for owners
and non-owners alike.
Special
Events
The Coosawattee River Resort has many
special events throughout the year. Some we have on
are regular basis; others are the occasional get-togethers
that we all enjoy. On the Fourth of July we have a
huge cookout at Fish Trap Park under the pavilion.
All Property Owners and their guests are invited to
come and share in our nation’s birthday. We
have a cookout where we charge a minimal amount to
cover expenses and have an afternoon of visiting,
playing volley ball, horseshoes, badminton and other
games for the kids. This past year we also had a dunking
booth where kids of all ages lined up all afternoon
to try and dunk some of our employees and volunteers.
Another annual event is our Halloween
/ Fall Festival. This is a fun time for children and
adults alike. We have a hayride for everyone who wants
to participate, as well as games, prizes, and candy.
One of the most used and best liked
amenities is our tranquil fish pond. Come to the pond
and fish all day or just sit beside the pond and enjoy
the scenery. We also have a large flock of geese and
ducks that call the pond home and love being fed popcorn
and bread crusts. The pond has just been cleaned and
restocked with a variety of small game fish and are
ready for catch and release or to be taken home for
a fish fry. The pond is fun for the whole family and
is open to our owners and their guests – no
fishing license required. Bring a picnic lunch and
enjoy the day. Picnic tables and a porta-john are
available.
