Public Safety Department
Gail Williamson - Director
The establishment and mission of the Public
Safety Department are defined in Article 13 of the Eagle’s
Mountain Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions
as follows:
“There is established a private security
force for the safety and protection of lot owners and their
property. The security force shall be maintained by
the POA and shall have such powers as the POA shall see
fit to confer.
Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary,
the security force shall monitor entry into the subdivision
and restrict such entry to lot owners, their guests and
other authorized personnel. The security force shall
also have the authority to restrict temporarily the entry
of any person who it reasonably determines will present
an immediate threat to persons or property within the subdivision.”
Our Public Safety Department is a group of
trained and conscientious individuals who make up a group
dedicated to assisting our owners in a multitude of ways.
The most visible aspect of their job is to
staff our gates, either in person or through the intercom
system, to assist our owners and their guests in entering
the property. Another arm of our Public Safety Team
is the Patrol Unit. Both of these units are manned
twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, fifty-two weeks
a year. The Patrol Unit is on patrol around the clock,
trying to keep an eye on all common areas as well as looking
for anything that is suspicious or out of the ordinary.
Public Safety employees are often the first
point of contact in an emergency and can relay information
or contact emergency services such as the sheriff, fire
department or ambulance services as needed. Public
Safety is often an escort to these emergency departments
as they respond to calls from our owners. Public
Safety IS NOT a “police force” that is responsible for maintaining
law and order or making arrest. They are here to assist
owners as possible, patrol the grounds, responding to accidents,
checking names on guest lists, directing traffic, controlling
the flow of visitors through our gates and acting as escorts
when necessary, through the property.
Public Safety also works closely with the
local and state law enforcement agencies as well as the
Department of Natural Resources and 911 when needed.
While we hope that you will never need the assistance
of our Patrol Team or rarely speak to the Gate Team, we
want everyone to know that we are always here and ready
to help whenever we can. There are also several other
areas that Public Safety is responsible for or involved
in and those are listed below. For more information,
